No sgtpepper, but the point chinchilla was trying to make is that it is way CHEAPER and more EFFICIENT to raise veggies than MEAT. However I must say that by far the CHEAPEST option, even better than veggies is HUMAN MEAT. It costs nothing, since the human who lives pays all their own feeding costs until they die, when they are free for the taking. Also they die of natural causes rather than being brutally slaughtered. So while I am very opposed to eating ANIMALS, I have no problem with HUMAN meat. Aye. but human meat........ wouldn't you feel wierd eating a person? And earlier, mauvis was right. it isnt healthy. Cannibalism leads to wierd illnesses

Thank you Mauvais, yes 'twas me
It takes more resources/money to raise a balanced and healthy meal for vegetarians than it does for us omnivores.
The different price of raising different styles of food is insignificant.
Eating meat was meant to be, you can love animals if you want, I do, but eating them will ALWAYS, FOR AN INFINITE SPAN OF TIME, happen.
Duh...

Dude, it's not really helping though.
Saving the rain forest would save more animals.
It takes like 50 vegetarian meals to "save" (he still gets slaughtered, it's just not YOU that eats him) a cow, the TOTAL cost it takes to make that vegetarian meal could save like, TWENTY animals in the rain forest.
Plus, like Mauvais said, animals eat other animals, we are just another type of animal, except we don't kill our meat so brutally and painfully.

How are we more brutal? Not every animal we eat is cruely killed. I'm sure the majority of other animals just tear the animal up while it's still alive and squirming. It's not like we penalize THEM for cruelty.

Exactly, some people are stupid, bitch poachers.
But all the meat that I eat, is not killed with a rusty spike, it's porbably killed more humanly than most death penalties.
True, there is DEFINITELY cruelty to animals, and I LOVE to stop it, but not eating meat does not help. Not buying fur, or leather, or ivory things DOES help.
BTW: Of course you don't SEE me doing anything to help save the rainforest, that's beacause I don't march into school and yell, "I DONATED MONEY TO HELP SAVE THE RAINFOREST!" I mean just talk to Kenzie she has done a TON to help save the rainforest!

Eating meat was meant to be, you can love animals if you want, I do, but eating them will ALWAYS, FOR AN INFINITE SPAN OF TIME, happen. Duh... Not saying it can be STOPPED. Just, I don't have to participate in it. If you saw a bunch of people spitting on a small child and crushing her ribs with a shovel, you might not be able to stop them, but you don't have to go HELP. It takes more resources/money to raise a balanced and healthy meal for vegetarians than it does for us omnivores. Uhm.... Since when?

True, there is DEFINITELY cruelty to animals, and I LOVE to stop it, but not eating meat does not help. HAHAHAAHHAAHA. That is like saying, "True, there is DEFINITELY cruelty to black people, and I'd LOVE to stop it, but not shooting and eating the black people doesn't help. It helps more to not wear boots made from black people's skin." Maybe putting it into context of HUMANS will help you understand. How can you POSSIBLY say that it is KIND to animals to EAT them? Oxymoron of the CENTURY.

Well, then you don't know that God made animals for human consumption, you have no reason to say it now do you.

Dude, most of the tim when I'm sayinf not eating meat doesn't help I really mean not buying it, even if you pass up buying meat at the store, someone ELSE comes along and buys that package you passed up.
What the way I think you're interpreting my view is like, kiling AND eating meat yourself, that is DEFINTELY not something I'd do, but so long as I don't consume meat as fast a "W" consumes money, it doesn't matter.
About the vegitarian meal vs. omnivore meal, to get the same nutrition from each meal a lot more has to be done to the vegitrian meal than the omnivore meal, and therefore, it's more costly.
As for God making animals for humans to eat, I think he didn't say "These animals will make good human food." it was probably more like "If these humans don't use animals for food they're too stupid to live."
There will always be animals and there will always be carnivores, I just figure, hey, meat tastes good, why not eat it, it's there.

Right. But just because it doesn't HELP anyhthing to not eat it, doesn't mean I have to PARTICIPATE in the wrongdoing. I may not be able to stop it, but I am not gonna JOIN IN.

There will always be animals and there will always be carnivores, I just figure, hey, meat tastes good, why not eat it, it's there. Because you can be perfectly healthy without eating it, so why be cruel.

Have you even read the Bible?

Post by Sgtpepper on Dec 11, 2006 18:49:56 GMT -5
Yes, Wetpaint has read the Bible somewhat, but that is beside the point.
I CAN be perfectly healthy on plants, but I can be HEALTHIER with meat, and it is much easier to do so.
